I'm passionate about using visual storytelling to drive impactful change, particularly in the realm of climate action and community empowerment. During my time as a communications consultant with UNDP Kenya, I had the privilege to lead and contribute to several transformative projects. One notable initiative was the "What does climate action look like in real life" video series. From capturing breathtaking aerial footage of Kenya's diverse landscapes to conducting inclusive interviews and producing engaging video content, I ensured that our message resonated globally while advocating for ambitious climate action goals. Additionally, my involvement in the "Collective Intelligence for Climate Action" project allowed me to document key moments through high-quality photography and compelling videography. These visual narratives not only highlighted project successes but also raised awareness about climate challenges and solutions within the region.
In the "Kenya Climate Security Pilot Project," I took on the role of a digital skills trainer, empowering youth in Tana River County with photography, videography, and social media marketing skills. Through hands-on mentorship and project management, I guided them in effectively communicating their messages on climate resilience and sustainability.
My commitment to effective communication extended beyond project execution. I collaborated closely with UNDP teams to align strategies and ensure cohesive messaging across various platforms, enhancing project visibility and impact. Let's continue to inspire change together.
